2007 Honda CBF600s Service Journal

April 2009 - 18000KM

Everything looks strong. Cost: ~150 Euro.

  • Clutch cable has been cleaned. Apparently water entered through the adjustment on the handlebars. No damages, just making sure it's cleaned and greased.
  • Rear break pads replaced. They had some 2k Km left, but that would come in between servicing.
  • Brake fluid replaced. It was looking a little dark.
  • Coolant replaced.
  • Oil and filter replaced.
  • Back tire looks like it's going to last for around 10k km more.

September 2008 - 12000 KM

Nothing special to report

7th of April 2008 - 6000KM

No problems detected, only regular maintenance.

  • All cables adjusted: clutch, throtle and choke.
  • drive chain was cleaned, adjusted and lubricated
  • oil change: Motul 7100 10w40 Synthetic ester oil (Meets API SL/SH/SG Jaso MA. For 4 stroke cycles with catalytic converters. Ester technology improves engine response. Low sulfer and phosphorus formula.)
  • oil filter

December 2007 - 5000 KM

  • lost a bolt from the fairing, resulting in dashboard rattle on bad roads. Nothing serious, fixed in the backyard.

08 May 2007 - 1000KM

Regular maintenance service for the the first 1000 KM:

  • the choke cable has been lubricated (quite hard to pull before)
  • acceleration cable was adjusted (a little to much free play)
  • drive chain was cleaned, adjusted and lubricated
  • oil change: Motul 5100 10w40
  • oil filter

Everything works great, nothing to complain.
